Level 2 Service Desk Technician  – Full Time

Essential IT Group is a Managed Services Provider delivering IT Services to businesses throughout the Sydney region.
Essential IT Group is seeking a Service Desk professional for a Full-Time role, located in our Kirrawee office in the Sutherland Shire

About The Role

As the Service Desk Technician, you will be maintaining the design, integrity and implementation of our client’s IT infrastructure, as well as handling first and second level support of service requests, along with the following duties;

  • Performing a variety of level 1 – 2 support across a variety of technologies and fulfilling requests in a timely manner
  • Supporting Servers, Desktops and applications within a Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange online environments. 
  • Be a point of contact for incoming requests via email and phone.
  • Be able to multi-task, and adapt to changes quickly
  • Monitoring of business-critical systems and identifying and resolving potential issues
  • Project and Team work to prepare and roll out solutions to our clients. 
  • Travel to client sites if required. 

What we Require from You

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Service Desk environment. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • General Knowledge of technical infrastructure from Desktop to Firewall, including LAN & WAN principles.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solid work ethic and the desire to learn and develop.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365
  • Previous experience with VMWare environments desirable but not essential. 
  • Experience in using ConnectWise Manage and Automate desirable but not essential.

IT Service Manager  – Full Time

An exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Service Manager to oversee the deliveries of our services has become available.

About The Role

  • You will organise, implement and directly manage tasks and projects and drive continuous improvement in operations.
  • You will manage the Service Delivery team to ensure the delivery of customer SLA’s are maintained at a high level to our clients.
  • You will lead the day-to-day operations of the Service Delivery team to ensure effective communication, collaboration and culture to maintain a high level of performance, including the management of operational and staff issues.
  • You will liaise with clients to manage expectations and guide them across strategic plans with exceptional customer service to build and maintain client relationships.
  • You will maintain and continually improve customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years experience as an IT Service Manager with proven ability in leadership, team and project management.
  • A strong technical knowledge in the development, management and maintenance of IT systems, infrastructure and services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with proven ability to manage customer relationships and understand the needs of clients.
  • All candidates must currently be based in Sydney will full Australian working rights.
